Uzbekistan Appoints Its First Ambassador to San Marino

Abat Fayzullayev has been appointed as Uzbekistan’s first ambassador to San Marino. At the same time, he also serves as the ambassador to Italy, Cyprus, and Malta.
Uzbekistan’s first ambassador to San Marino, Abat Fayzullayev, presented his credentials to the heads of state – Captains Regent Francesca Chiverchia and Dalibor Riccardi. This was reported by the "Dunyo" news agency.
During the official ceremony, San Marino’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luca Beccari, highly appreciated the efforts to develop relations between Uzbekistan and San Marino, including the appointment of the first ambassador to the country.
Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and San Marino were established on February 3, 2021. San Marino is one of the smallest countries in the world, located in Europe. It is situated within Italy, in the Apennine Mountains, and is entirely surrounded by Italian territory.
It should be noted that since November 2023, Abat Fayzullayev has been serving as Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Italy and as a permanent representative to international organizations in Rome (FAO, WHO, UNODC). Since December 2024, he has also been the ambassador of Uzbekistan to Cyprus and Malta.
