Uzbekistan climbs 24 positions in wired internet speed rating

Uzbekistan ranked 155th in the 2022 ranking and 131st in the 2023 ranking.
In the 2023 Cable.co.uk global broadband internet speed comparison ranking, Uzbekistan climbed 24 positions. This was stated by the Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov.
According to him, Uzbekistan took 155th place in the 2022 ranking and 131st place in the 2023 ranking.
“If you pay attention to the comparative table of world broadband access speeds in the Internet publication Cable.co.uk , you can see that Uzbekistan has risen by 24 positions as a result of measures aimed at the development of ICT in our country by the President, despite the decrease in the speed rating Internet in most neighboring countries because of the unrest in the world,” the minister said.
Thanks to this rise, Uzbekistan also overtook neighboring Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
