Uzbekistan’s resident airlines have carried out 41 evacuation flights to bring citizens back from Middle Eastern countries.

According to the Ministry of Transport, 7,988 passengers were returned from Medina and Jeddah through 36 flights. An additional 838 citizens were brought back from Dubai via five flights.

Currently, Uzbek airlines continue operating additional evacuation flights. Three flights are being operated on the Dubai–Tashkent route, while two flights are being conducted on the Jeddah–Tashkent and Jeddah–Samarkand routes.

Evacuation flights are being organized from countries whose airspace is open for civil aviation.

At the same time, negotiations are ongoing with the aviation authorities of Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Charter flights are expected to be arranged in the coming days to return citizens from these countries as well.
