Uzbekistan Delivers Over 290 Tons of Aid to Afghanistan for Ramadan

On March 18, Uzbekistan delivered over 290 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan in connection with the Ramadan holiday.
The shipment included flour, rice, wheat, vegetable oil, instant meals, pasta, confectionery, and other food products. The official handover ceremony took place in Hairaton.
Afghan officials, including Deputy Governor of Balkh Province Mawlawi Abu Idris and local Ministry of Foreign Affairs representatives, expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his consistent attention, practical support, and solidarity with the Afghan people.
The ceremony was also attended by Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Oybek Usmanov and Governor of Surkhandarya Region Ulugbek Kosimov. The initiative aims to strengthen neighborly and friendly relations between the two countries and to support the population during the holy holiday.
