More than 400 high-tech diagnostic and treatment methods, previously available mainly in Tashkent, are now being introduced in regional medical centers — a major milestone in Uzbekistan’s healthcare modernization program, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced.

Uzbekistan expands access to advanced medical technologies across regions
During a meeting with healthcare and pharmaceutical workers, the President stated that 230 trillion soums had been allocated to the healthcare sector in recent years, with an additional 45 trillion soums provided this year alone.

As a result, 187 new clinics and hospitals have been opened, and over 1,200 medical facilities have been reconstructed and equipped with modern technology.

President Mirziyoyev emphasized that hundreds of complex surgeries are now performed not only in the capital but also in regional centers, while minimally invasive operations are becoming routine at the district level.

“The fact that kidney transplants were performed for the first time in 45 districts of our country is a vivid confirmation of our commitment to protecting people’s health,” — said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

These reforms aim to ensure equal access to quality medical care and modern technologies for all citizens, regardless of where they live.
