Uzbekistan Holds Send-off Ceremony for Paralympians Heading to Paris-2024

Today, a solemn ceremony was held at the Museum of Olympic Glory to send off Uzbekistan's sports delegation to the 17th Summer Paralympic Games in Paris-2024. The event marked a significant milestone in the nation's journey towards new athletic achievements.
This year's preparation for the Paralympics was notably different from previous ones. Thanks to the personal support of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his special attention to the Paralympic movement, all organizational issues were resolved at a high level. As a result, Uzbek athletes secured 113 licenses for Paris-2024.
Uzbekistan's delegation, consisting of 65 athletes, is headed to the Paralympics, setting a new record for the country. Our athletes will compete in various sports, including para-athletics, judo, swimming, and powerlifting, proudly representing the nation on the global stage.
At the ceremony, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov delivered a speech, wishing the athletes success and highlighting the favorable conditions created for them. He emphasized that the determination of Uzbek para-athletes to achieve victory serves as an inspiration to all of us.
