Uzbekistan introduces unified emergency service '112'

The government has adopted a decree "On the organization of the activity of the unified dispatch service 112", as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.
According to this Resolution, a unified dispatch service will be established to receive and automatically process citizens' inquiries via the short number "112" to provide emergency assistance in the event of incidents and emergencies.
The implementation of the unified dispatch service '112' will take place gradually:
— From June 1, 2024, in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region;
— In the first half of 2024, in the Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana regions;
— By the end of 2024, in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and other regions of Uzbekistan.
The unified dispatch service '112' is a system that integrates the emergency services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Health, the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the joint-stock company "Hududgazta'minot" into a single data transmission network.
