Uzbekistan is aimed at international sports arenas

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with the heads of key international sports organizations - the World Swimming Federation, the Olympic Council of Asia, and the Association of National Olympic Committees. The focus is on strengthening cooperation, developing sports infrastructure, and hosting large-scale competitions in the country.
The meeting was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. The Head of our state received the Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia Hussein Al-Musallam, the First Vice-President of the Association of the National Olympic Committee, Sheikh Jo'an bin Hamad Al Thani, as well as representatives of the World Swimming Federation.
Sheikh Joan conveyed warm greetings from the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to Mirziyoyev, confirming the high level of bilateral relations.
The parties paid special attention to the development of water sports. Specialists training, the construction of affordable infrastructure, and the deepening of partnerships with international structures were discussed.
The prospects for holding key sporting events in Uzbekistan, including the Asian Olympic Council Assembly and high-level international competitions, were also discussed.
