Uzbekistan is among the top 25 safest countries in the world
Numbeo analytical platform published the latest ranking of the safest countries and regions in the world. The study is based on global user surveys that assessed subjective security awareness, crime levels, and trust in the police.

The first place in the list was taken by the United Arab Emirates, which received high praise for personal security and public stability. The top ten also included Andorra, Qatar, Taiwan, Macau, Oman, Maine Island, Hong Kong, Armenia, and Singapore.

Uzbekistan took the honorable 25th place, becoming the safest state in Central Asia among those included in the ranking. Compared to neighbors:

Azerbaijan - 35th place

Russia - 52nd

Kazakhstan - 73rd

Ukraine - 81st

Kyrgyzstan - 101st

Turkmenistan and Tajikistan are not included in the ranking.

At the bottom of the list were countries with high levels of street crime, violence, and corruption. The top 10 most dangerous countries include Haiti, Papua New Guinea, Venezuela, Afghanistan, South Africa, Honduras, Trinidad and Tobago, Syria, Jamaica, and Peru.

Numbeo's report relies not on official government statistics, but on the perception of real people: the security index is calculated based on user responses to questions about thefts, attacks, vandalism, and feeling safe day and night.
