Uzbekistan national football team improved its position in the FIFA ranking

Uzbekistan's national football team has moved up two positions in the FIFA world ranking.
According to the International Football Federation, the Uzbek team now ranks 66th. Experts attribute this progress to Uzbekistan's successful performance at the Asian Cup, where it reached the quarterfinals of the tournament.
"The Uzbek team's improved position is not surprising given their performance in the quarter-finals, where they lost to Qatar in a penalty shootout. Uzbekistan is considered one of the best Asian Cup teams, and I consider them the strongest in Central Asia," Kazakhstani commentator Sanzhar Akatayev shared his opinion.
In a regional context, the countries are ranked as follows: Tajikistan, 99th; Kazakhstan, 100th; Kyrgyzstan, 104th; and Turkmenistan, 141st.
