Global financial advisory group Rothschild & Co will assist Uzbekistan in organizing initial public offerings (IPOs) for its largest state-owned enterprises.

The plans were discussed during a meeting between Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov and a delegation led by Arielle Malard de Rothschild. The parties reviewed current cooperation and outlined steps to expand the partnership.

The key focus was on privatizing state assets and listing leading enterprises on international stock exchanges. Specific tools for integrating Uzbek companies into global financial markets were considered.

Particular attention was given to strengthening local business capacity. Training programs are planned to cover corporate governance and strategies for attracting foreign capital.

The sides also discussed promoting Uzbekistan’s investment potential abroad and developing joint approaches to cooperation with international financial institutions.

Additionally, the Rothschild & Co delegation held talks with Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khojayev, focusing on preparing major privatization deals, entering public markets, and implementing new investment projects.

The partnership is expected to accelerate reforms and support Uzbekistan’s integration into global capital markets.
