Uzbekistan

In 2024, Uzbekistan produced about 12 million tons of vegetables across all types of farms. According to the Statistics Agency, the majority of the harvest came from private and farming enterprises.

Uzbekistan Produced 12 Million Tons of Vegetables in 2024
6.99 million tons – grown by dehkan (smallholder) and household farms;

4.44 million tons – produced by farming enterprises;

563.9 thousand tons – cultivated by specialized agricultural companies.

Food production has also increased significantly, reaching 103.7 trillion Uzbek soums. This expansion not only meets domestic demand but also enhances export potential.

Currently, Uzbekistan actively exports vegetables to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Russia, and Belarus. This contributes to economic diversification and strengthens the country’s position in international markets.

Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector continues to develop through the introduction of new technologies, increased productivity, and expanded cooperation with foreign partners. In the future, the country aims to:

Provide subsidies and benefits to dehkan and farming enterprises;

Implement modern irrigation technologies on a larger scale;

Develop vegetable processing industries;

Expand the geography of exports.
