Uzbekistan will introduce international agrotechnologies
Uzbekistan
In Uzbekistan, reforms aimed at increasing efficiency and introducing advanced technologies in agriculture continue. On March 3, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed new plans for international cooperation in the agro-industrial sector.
Recently, a group of specialists studied the best practices of China, Italy, and Japan. As a result, it was proposed to create a system of seed production and nursery in Uzbekistan based on the Chinese model. The project is planned to attract $200 million in investments. New varieties of cotton, wheat, rice, corn, and fruit crops will be developed, and an innovative territory with a full cycle of cultivation will be created.
Special attention is paid to the training of personnel. This year, 200 students will go to study at Italian agricultural universities, and Japanese educational programs will help develop dual education. Work is also underway to establish Japanese language learning centers to train specialists.
The Head of State instructed to expand cooperation with Hungary, the Netherlands, Canada, Australia, and South Korea. The Ministry of Agriculture will develop a program for the implementation of innovative projects in the regions.
