In Ganja, one of Azerbaijan's ancient cities, an official opening ceremony of the first honorary consulate of Uzbekistan in this country took place. This was reported by the IA "Dunyo".
It is reported that the official opening ceremony of the honorary consulate of Uzbekistan took place in the presence of the head of the executive authority of the city of Ganja, Niyazi Bayramov, the heads of the consulates of Turkey and Georgia in Ganja, representatives of the business community, science, public organizations of the city, and local media.
Speakers at the ceremony noted that this event creates an excellent opportunity for further expansion and deepening of mutually beneficial and partnership relations between the fraternal countries and peoples. It was also noted that the opening of the honorary consulate of Uzbekistan in Ganja will be recorded as a historic event in the chronicle of cooperation between the two fraternal countries.
The first honorary consul of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan is Kanan Jalilov.
The honorary consulate will contribute to the protection of the rights and interests of citizens of our country, the development of economic cooperation, attracting investments and tourists to Uzbekistan, and the development of cultural and humanitarian ties.
After the official opening ceremony, embassy staff organized an outreach reception for compatriots living in this city.
