A ceremony marking Uzbekistan’s 33rd Independence Day was held at the country’s embassy in Germany, attended by over 200 guests, including officials, diplomats, and business representatives from various sectors of Germany.

In his speech, Uzbekistan’s ambassador, Dilshod Akhatov, highlighted the significant reforms undertaken in recent years and emphasized the growing importance of bilateral relations with Germany. He noted that the recent official visit of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to Uzbekistan marked a new chapter in the countries' partnership.

German Bundestag member Robin Wagener congratulated Uzbekistan and stressed the importance of cooperation, especially in areas like labor migration and economic partnerships. Attendees were shown video clips about Uzbekistan’s economic and tourism potential, adding depth to the event’s discussions.

The event concluded with a cultural program featuring musical performances and poetry readings, further enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.
