Uzbekistan's IT Industry Future Discussed at Dubai Conference

Uzbekistan's Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IT Park Uzbekistan, Farhod Ibragimov, met with representatives of FOM Group, including entrepreneur Murat Maxkamov, in Dubai to discuss digital economy development and business opportunities in the country.

This meeting took place as part of the "Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference", which brought together over 100 IT specialists, entrepreneurs, and international investors.

FOM Group's achievements in pharmaceutical business automation were highlighted, with the company successfully automating more than 400 pharmacies in Dubai. The discussion explored opportunities to introduce similar solutions in Uzbekistan.

Additionally, the Enterprise Uzbekistan initiative was presented. This initiative aims to create innovative economic zones and transform Uzbekistan into a new technological hub.

During the conference, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan and international partners discussed tax incentives, workforce training, and investment climate improvement. The "Zero Risk" and "Regional Headquarters" programs were also emphasized as key drivers in attracting foreign IT companies to Uzbekistan.

As a result of the meeting and conference, the following goals were set:

Opening international IT company offices in Uzbekistan

Creating over 500 new jobs

Achieving $50 million in IT service exports within three years

Thus, the Dubai conference played a crucial role in promoting Uzbekistan’s IT sector on the global stage, attracting investments, and unlocking new business opportunities.
