Women with oncological diseases will receive free treatment

According to the decision, an electronic database (list) of women aged 30–65 will be created within the primary healthcare system, and a system for inviting them to medical check-ups will be established.

Presidential Resolution No. 402, “On measures to improve the control system for oncological diseases among women,” has been adopted.

Every year, cervical cancer screening for women aged 30–50 will be conducted using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing to detect the human papillomavirus (HPV) and liquid cytology methods.

Women aged 30–65 will undergo primary screening once every two years by medical professionals.

The costs of diagnosing and treating cancer detected during the screening will be funded by the state budget.

Starting from January 1, 2025:
➖ Oncological control rooms will introduce positions for obstetrician-gynecologists and radiology technicians to operate mobile and stationary mammography units in two shifts;
➖ A mammography image reading center will be established;
➖ A reference laboratory to monitor the quality of tests used for HPV diagnostics will be set up;
➖ Private medical organizations will be involved in cervical and breast cancer screening.

By May 1, 2025:
- A system to evaluate and monitor the quality of early detection of cervical and breast cancer will be implemented;
- A feedback system with women included in the screening program will be introduced.
