A large-scale startup support program has been launched in Uzbekistan, including $145 million in funding, grants for schoolchildren and students, and the establishment of a special center for prototyping and testing projects. A "Best Creative Idea" competition will be held annually among Uzbek universities in the field of startups. Winners will receive grants of up to 300 million soums from university funds.
The Innovation Agency and IT Park will open a "RnD" center for prototyping and testing startups. Up to $50 thousand will be allocated from the Youth Venture Investment Fund to create prototypes of the best projects.
The "Startup Expo" exhibition will be held annually with the participation of investors, large companies, and startup initiators.
