A 12th-century ancient artifact returns to Uzbekistan from London
Uzbekistan
A unique artifact from the 12th–13th centuries — a lead vessel shaped like a petal and linked to the Ghaznavid era — is returning to Uzbekistan.
For many years, the vessel was kept in the private collection of the Orpheus gallery in London. Now, it will be displayed at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent.
The return of this historical piece marks an important step in preserving Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage and will allow the public to admire a rare example of medieval art.
