A Committee on Interethnic Relations Will Be Established in Uzbekistan

A Committee on Interethnic Relations and Issues of Compatriots Abroad will be established.
Presidential Decree No. PF-52 "On Measures to Take National Unity and Strengthening Ties with Compatriots Abroad to a New Level" has been adopted.
According to the decree, one of the key priorities in strengthening national unity and ties with compatriots abroad is to harmonize interethnic relations, form a unified civic identity by reinforcing friendship, solidarity, tolerance, and unity in society.
Based on the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Committee on Interethnic Relations and Issues of Compatriots Abroad will be established.
The committee will serve as a republican executive government body responsible for implementing state policy in the field of interethnic relations and issues concerning compatriots abroad, as well as coordinating the activities of government agencies and organizations in this direction.
An annual conference under the slogan "Uzbekistan – One Homeland!" will be held to recognize the equality, unity of all nationalities and ethnic groups in the country, as well as their contribution to the development of New Uzbekistan.
Together with the "Vatandoshlar" public fund, the committee will annually organize the "Uz Global Think" forum for compatriots abroad.
