On January 24, 2025, a four-story building collapsed in the city of Konya, Turkey. The incident occurred around 8:00 PM in the Selçuk neighborhood of the central Selçuklu district. Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene. It has been reported that there are casualties and injured individuals.

According to initial reports, at least five people were trapped under the building, two of whom have been rescued. Currently, a special expert commission and prosecutors are investigating the cause of the collapse.

According to the Minister of the Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, 79 people lived in the building, and it is known that only five people were trapped under the collapsed structure. Approximately five hours after the collapse, two people were rescued alive from the rubble, and after another seven hours, a third person was also pulled out alive. Unfortunately, one body has been found.
