“Health Marathon” Launched in Karakalpakstan — an Initiative of Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan
A nationwide “Salomatlik Marathon” has begun in Karakalpakstan, aiming to promote a culture of health awareness and introduce modern technologies into the country’s medical system. The announcement was made by Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on her official Telegram channel.
The campaign is being held in Nukus, where 12 family polyclinics and 3 public centers provide free diagnostics and consultations for residents. A digital patient routing and management system has been introduced to make healthcare services faster and more efficient.
Artificial intelligence technologies — AI TOP-3 CDSS, MuxlisaMED AI, and AI Mammo — are being implemented to enhance diagnostic accuracy and speed.
According to Mirziyoyeva, nearly 12,000 people have been examined within four days; over 1,700 underwent in-depth medical checkups, and 116 were referred for treatment.
As part of the initiative, participants visited the pediatric surgery department of the Karakalpakstan Medical Institute, meeting children recovering from complex operations — whose courage and smiles became a true symbol of resilience.
Two new projects have also been launched: the “Family Health School,” based on a digital family health passport, and “Health Volunteers,” where young people contribute to improving public health literacy.
Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed gratitude to the “Medical Innovators” community of young professionals, noting that their energy and innovation are transforming the nation’s healthcare system into one that is modern, humane, and efficient.
“The health of the nation is our shared path and shared responsibility,” she emphasized.
