Tashkent is becoming a new financial hub of Central Asia! The signing of the agreement on the establishment of the Regional Office of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Uzbekistan was an important step in the development of economic cooperation between Tashkent and Brussels.
In the presence of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, European Council President António Costi, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the parties reaffirmed the agreements that will open new opportunities for attracting European investment to the country.
Established in 1958, the European Investment Bank is a key financial institution of the EU. Now its office in Tashkent will contribute to the development of a green economy, industrial modernization, and the construction of modern infrastructure in Uzbekistan and the entire Central Asian region.
This step will strengthen financial ties between Uzbekistan and Europe, opening new prospects for business and international partnership.
