The Chinese government has launched a new chapter in air transportation: for the first time, flying taxis have been officially approved for use in the country. This historic step paves the way for the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in passenger transport.

China Issues First Licenses for Flying Taxis
Flying taxis are set to become an integral part of China’s forward-looking “low-altitude economy” concept. Initially, they will be used for tourism purposes — such as aerial sightseeing tours over cities. However, in the long term, they are expected to be integrated into full-fledged urban transport systems.

As technology continues to advance, China is striving to take a leading position in the global air mobility market. Experts believe such vehicles could significantly ease traffic congestion in major cities in the near future.
