A representative office of "Uzbekistan Railways" may be opened in Afghanistan

The delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Jamshid Khodjayev paid a practical visit to Kabul.
On October 29, the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan Abdul Ghani Mullah Barodar in Kabul.
During the meeting, implementation of the project of construction of the "Surkhan-Puli-Khumri" power transmission network, restoration and revitalisation of trading houses in the cities of Kabul and Mazar-e-Sharif of Uzbekistan, opening of the representative office of "Uzbekistan Railways" JSC in Afghanistan , as well as other issues related to international cargo transportation, customs control, and the prospects of exploration and development of mineral deposits were discussed.
As part of the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to Kabul, an exhibition of national products produced in Uzbekistan was held, as well as meetings in "B2B" and "G2B" formats with the participation of representatives of government agencies and business circles of the two countries.
According to the results, export-import contracts and agreements worth 1 billion 185 million dollars were signed in such fields as agriculture, textile industry, transport-logistics, chemical industry, pharmaceuticals, construction materials production, leather-footwear, electrical engineering industry.
