President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is holding a videoconference meeting dedicated to assessing the progress of reforms, economic indicators for the past months, and pressing challenges of the external environment.

According to the data presented at the meeting, in the first five months of this year, industrial production in Uzbekistan grew by 6.4%, exports increased by 18%, and the volume of attracted foreign investments grew by 46%. More than 2.5 thousand new production facilities worth $3 billion were commissioned in the country, which ensured stable income for 2.4 million citizens.

The Head of State emphasized: "The need for peace, justice, and the glorification of human dignity is growing more than ever.

Therefore, every hokim should foresee the opportunities and risks in their territory, and ministers in their sector, and move to proactive work, that is, show initiative, and not wait for instructions.

Most importantly, the main task of these leaders should be to further strengthen dialogue with the population and business, to frequently resolve the issues they ask for.
