ACWA Power seeks EBRD loan for Uzbekistan project

ACWA Power, a Saudi Arabian company, has indicated its desire to secure financial support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the execution of a renewable energy initiative in Uzbekistan's Tashkent region.
ACWA Power intends to develop a solar power facility generating 200 MW and accompanying energy storage units capable of holding 500 MWh. The overall project expenditure is projected to be approximately $546.33 million.
To implement this project, ACWA Power intends to attract a loan of $140 million through the ACWA Power Riverside Solar company, created in Uzbekistan specifically for this purpose.
