Uzbekistan’s weightlifter Akbar Jurayev made history at the World Championships in Norway, claiming three gold medals and setting two new world records.
Competing in the under-110 kg category, Jurayev lifted 196 kg in the snatch (world record) and 232 kg in the clean and jerk, achieving a total of 428 kg, another world record.
This dominant performance secured him the world champion title and confirmed his place among the elite of global weightlifting.
Another Uzbek athlete, Ruslan Nurudinov, earned two bronze medals — in the clean and jerk and the combined total (186 kg + 228 kg = 414 kg).
