Appropriate and barrier-free environment will be created for people with disabilities

At least 10% of the funds of "Safe Road and Safe Pedestrian" fund are directed to creating a safe environment for people with disabilities at intersections every year.
According to President’s Decision "On additional measures to create comfortable and barrier-free environment for persons with disabilities" was adopted. This is reported by the Ministry of Justice.
According to the decision, from October 1, 2024:
the technical part of the projects of urban planning documents of the objects of urban planning activities to be reconstructed and repaired is subject to a mandatory examination regarding the compliance with the requirements established in the norms and rules of urban planning on creating conditions for persons with disabilities;
every year, at least 10% of the funds of the "Safe Road and Safe Pedestrian" republican fund are allocated to construction, repair and equipment works to create a safe and barrier-free environment for persons with disabilities (pedestrians) at intersections.
From January 1, 2025, when issuing a license for the specified types of activities, it is required to obtain a conclusion of the control inspection in the field of construction and housing and communal economy on the creation of a barrier-free environment for persons with disabilities in accordance with the requirements specified in the norms and rules of urban planning.
