Biden urged Congress to continue to support Ukraine

The inability of Congress to act to provide support for Ukraine jeopardises the national security of the USA, NATO and the rest of the free world, Joe Biden has said. This was stated by US President Joe Biden at a meeting with the leadership of a number of congressional committees, the White House press service reports.
President Biden stressed the importance of Congress guaranteeing that Ukraine “has the resources it needs — including air defense and artillery capabilities — to defend itself against Russia’s brutal invasion”.
"The President called on Congress to quickly provide additional funding to support Ukraine and send a strong signal of U.S. resolve," the report said.
It is reported that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken at a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the World Economic Forum in Davos assured the latter of continued assistance to his country.
