Blinken arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit
"Blinken arrived in Kyiv on Tuesday in an unannounced diplomatic mission... Blinken will underscore the Biden administration’s commitment to Ukraine’s defense and long-term security," the Associated Press agency reports.

As clarified by State Department spokesman Matthew Miller, Blinken will meet with Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. He will discuss the situation on the battlefield, the impact of the new US aid package, and Washington's long-term commitments to support Kyiv.

The US Congress previously passed, and US President Joe Biden signed, a bill on foreign assistance to Washington's allies, including Ukraine, Israel, and the administration in Taiwan.
