BYD will supply electric buses to Uzbekistan

This was announced at a meeting between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of BYD Wang Chuanfu.
On September 26, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by the president and founder of the leading Chinese company BYD Wang Chuanfu. The press service of the head of state reported this.
It is worth noting that BYD is a world leader in the production of modern electric vehicles and new generation batteries. This concern, which produces 2 million cars a year, sets the main trends in the development of the global automotive industry.
At the meeting, practical aspects of expanding the company’s activities in Uzbekistan were discussed, in particular, the accelerated establishment of production of hybrid and electric vehicles in the Jizzakh region and, in subsequent stages, increasing its capacity to 300 thousand units.
Particular attention was paid to projects for localizing components and spare parts to reduce production costs, as well as organizing the export of cars to third-country markets.
Plans to open engineering and service centers for the supply and maintenance of BYD electric buses to our country were also supported.
