CIS Games: Uzbekistan Reaches 25 Gold Medals

Uzbekistan continues its winning streak at the 3rd CIS Games in Azerbaijan. Over the past day, the national team added 3 gold, 2 silver, and 5 bronze medals to its tally.
The gold medals were won by Greco-Roman wrestlers Javohir Sharifboyev (45 kg), Farid Karomov (48 kg), and Abdulaziz Kholmirzayev (80 kg). Saidamir Ne’matov (110 kg) and the Uzbekistan chovgan team took silver.
Bronze went to Azizbek Barlikbayev (65 kg), Fakhrikamol Komiljonov (92 kg), the men’s fencing team (épée), the women’s fencing team (sabre), and the group rhythmic gymnastics team (clubs).
In total, Uzbekistan’s delegation now holds 25 gold, 33 silver, and 60 bronze medals. The final day of competitions will determine the closing medal standings of the Games.
