Within the framework of the official visit of the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, to Uzbekistan, the leaders of the two countries visited the exhibition "Uzbekistan and Italy: Dialogue of Civilizations," which reveals the unique historical and cultural ties between the two countries, from the Kushan Empire to the present day.

The exposition includes nine thematic sections dedicated to the key stages of interaction between the two peoples. Among them are "Roman and Kushan Empire Trade Relations," "First Renaissance," "Marco Polo," "Amir Temur," "Mirzo Ulugbek," "Mirzo Bobur," "Italians in Uzbekistan in the 19th Century," "The Contribution of Uzbekistanis to the Liberation of Italy in the Second World War," and "Preservation of Cultural Heritage."

The exhibition opens with a reproduction of the famous fresco of Afrasiab "The Reception of Ambassadors by the Ruler of Samarkand," executed in the technique of Florentine mosaics by the famous Italian master Mauro Pellizzonni.

The leaders familiarized themselves with historical artifacts, manuscripts, miniatures, sculptures, rare literary publications, archival documents, and digital projections illustrating the centuries-old cultural and scientific dialogue between Uzbekistan and Italy.
