Based on the extrapolation of interim results, Mexico's National Electoral Institute predicts that Sheinbaum will receive 58.3-60.7% of the votes. Her closest competitor, Xóchitl Gálvez, is expected to be supported by approximately 26.6-28.6% of voters, followed by Jorge Alvarez Maines with 9.9-10.8%.

Sheinbaum, who ran for the ruling party "National Regeneration Movement" ("Morena"), intends to continue the policies initiated by the outgoing Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. She will be aided by the fact that "Morena," according to forecasts by the Mexican electoral commission, will also win the majority in the country's parliament.
