Conference on Ukraine kicks off in Switzerland
A high-level conference dedicated to resolving the conflict in Ukraine is opening in Switzerland. The event is expected to be attended by 57 heads of state and government from various countries. A total of 100 delegations are expected at the summit. Moscow was not invited to this forum.

Participants will focus on addressing three issues related to the Russia-Ukraine war: nuclear and food security, as well as the return of prisoners of war and all deported individuals, including Ukrainian children. On these matters, Kyiv seeks to secure the broadest possible international support.

Several major players have declined to participate in the forum, including Brazil, China, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia.

It is worth noting that on June 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin outlined a fundamental stance on ending the conflict in Ukraine during a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The Russian President emphasized the following points:

— A neutral, non-aligned, non-nuclear status for Ukraine, along with its demilitarization and denazification;

— Full protection of the rights, freedoms, and interests of Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine;

— Recognition of the new territorial realities – the status of Crimea, Sevastopol, LPR, DPR, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions as subjects of the Russian Federation;

— Lifting of sanctions against Russia.
