The results of the possible interaction were made public in the fall of 2024. If the confirmations are confirmed, DeepSeek may face serious consequences for violating Openair's copyrights.

The DeepSeek neural network was launched in January 2025 and has attracted attention because it requires fewer computing resources and is distributed for free.
