According to the publication, deliveries were made through front companies, and the last buyers of aircraft parts were Aeroflot, Pobeda, Ural, Russia, UTair and S7 Airlines.

Since may 2022, more than five thousand shipments have been sent to the Russian Federation, containing aircraft parts worth more than $ 14.4 million. The delivery was made mainly through the UAE, China, Turkey and the Maldives.

On may 11, two Russians were arrested in the United States, accused of violating export controls and money laundering. According to NYT, they may be organizers of the spare parts supply scheme for Russian Airlines.
