Energy crisis discussed in Russia–US talks

Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Russian president’s special envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, reported that discussions on energy and economic cooperation took place during his visit to the United States.
According to Dmitriev, the talks focused on the current crisis situation in global energy markets as well as on potential projects that could help restore Russian-American relations.
He noted that he visited the United States on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the trip, a meeting of the heads of the working group on economic cooperation between Russia and the United States was held.
The sides discussed both the situation in the energy sector and possible areas of economic cooperation.
