For the first time, the vice president of the Euro-Asian regional metrology organization was elected from Uzbekistan
Changes were made in the administrative management of the cooperation of state metrology institutions of the Euro-Asian region (COOMET) and a new President was elected. At the same time, the composition of vice presidents of the regional organization was updated.

The officials of COOMET unanimously supported the representative of Uzbekistan - director of the National Metrology Institute of Uzbekistan Lazizbek Saidoripov for the post of vice president. Now the head of the institute participates in the management of the "Legislative metrology" direction, which is considered one of the most important directions of COOMET in accordance with international requirements and criteria.

Let's remind that COOMET was established on June 12, 1991 and 19 countries became its members. Uzbekistan also became a member of this regional metrology organization in 2004.
