Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye Discuss Joint Defence Agreement

The foreign ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye discussed further development of joint defence mechanisms under the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement. The meeting was held in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The talks brought together Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. The ministers reviewed progress in establishing the institutional structures предусмотренные by the joint defence agreement.
They also exchanged views on regional and international security issues. The meeting marked another step in efforts by the three countries to establish practical mechanisms for defence cooperation.

The three countries agreed to further develop military cooperation and establish permanent institutional mechanisms.
