Government Officials to Be Tested for Corruption Propensity

Uzbekistan

A proposal has been made to introduce a system for testing government officials for corruption propensity. This new system will assess the level of corruption susceptibility among those in leadership positions and candidates in reserve for such roles.

Government Officials to Be Tested for Corruption Propensity
The initiative aims to identify individuals who entered public service either by mistake or with the intention of illegal enrichment, as well as to select honest and ethical personnel for government institutions.

It should be noted that a year ago, a Regional Anti-Corruption Platform was launched in Tashkent. This platform was established by Central Asian states to facilitate more effective implementation of the provisions of the UN Convention against Corruption and to strengthen and develop regional cooperation in this field.
