Uzbekistan
An intensive diplomatic marathon on the sidelines of the Tashkent International Investment Forum (TXIF) has laid the groundwork for a qualitatively new stage in expanding the republic's multi-vector economic ties. Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva held a series of key meetings with high-ranking foreign delegations, during which the parties conducted a detailed review of current agreements and outlined directions for deepening industrial, financial, and interregional cooperation.
At a meeting with the leadership of leading US financial institutions—John Jovanovic, President of the US Exim Bank, and Ben Black, CEO of the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC)—officials "aligned clocks" across the entire spectrum of joint initiatives. The discussion centered on practical steps to scale up bilateral financial projects and bring the joint investment platform to its projected capacity. The American side emphasized that beyond pragmatic commercial interest, major US capital genuinely admires Uzbekistan's rich history and cultural code.
Concurrently, the Head of the Presidential Administration held substantive talks with Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, who arrived to participate in the forum. During the dialogue, the sides noted the steady growth in mutual trade volumes and the successful launch of infrastructure business cases. Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed confidence that the upcoming meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Council of Regions would provide a powerful additional impetus to bilateral interaction in all strategically important areas.
