How many cars were produced in Uzbekistan in January-March 2024?

According to the Statistics Agency, the following number of cars was produced in the automotive industry from January to March 2024:
— Cobalt – 28,356 units
— Damas – 18,996 units
— Tracker – 12,025 units
— Lacetti-Gentra – 8,811 units
— Onix – 8,338 units
— KIA – 4,980 units
— Chery – 2,990 units
— Haval – 205 units
— Exeed – 38 units
— Special-purpose vehicles – 6,317 units.
It is also worth noting that on March 18, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, signed a decree approving an investment agreement with BYD Company for the organization of production of electric and hybrid vehicles in Uzbekistan.
At the first stage in 2024, it is planned to start production of electric and hybrid vehicles by means of semi-knocked-down assembly (CKD) with the aim of achieving a production capacity of up to 50,000 units per year. Subsequently, it is planned to increase production capacity to 500,000 units per year.
