Humo transferred to the State Asset Management Agency

From 1 July 2024 the state share in the operator of the payment system Humo will be transferred from the Central Bank to the balance sheet of the State Assets Management Agency.
In Uzbekistan, from 1 July 2024, only companies whose legal form is a joint stock company will be able to act as a payment system operator and payment organisation. This is stipulated by a presidential resolution signed on 30 November.
According to the decision, the charter capital of payment system operators from 1 July 2024 should be at least 50 billion sums. From this date, the minimum amount of the charter capital of a payment organisation will be 10 billion sums, and from 1 July 2025 - 20 billion sums.
According to the document, the state share in the authorised capital of Humo (National Interbank Processing Centre LLC) will be withdrawn from the Central Bank and transferred to the State Assets Management Agency.
