This year in Uzbekistan, about 90 thousand applicants were not allowed to take entrance exams to universities due to non-compliance with requirements. At the same time, almost 61% of graduates were exempted from the fixed fee for participating in testing, reports the Agency for the Assessment of Knowledge and Skills.

Of the 805,688 applicants who fully met the registration requirements, 489,118 (60.7%) were waived the testing fee. The largest number of registered applicants was in the Samarkand region (95,979), Kashkadarya region (92,636) and Fergana region (79,808).

Special attention is paid to applicants with special needs and talents. This year, 46,244 applicants expressed a desire to enroll in areas requiring special talents, and 12,851 applicants intend to enroll in higher military educational institutions. During registration, 22,632 applicants downloaded an international certificate in a foreign language, of which 20,063 confirmed the authenticity.

To ensure high-quality tests, 73 large-capacity buildings have been prepared, which can accommodate up to 70,560 applicants per day. 2,690 proctors were selected from the general public to ensure fair and transparent testing, and 139 sign language interpreters were recruited to assist applicants with speech and hearing impairments. The entrance exams will begin soon and aspirants will soon know when the mandate will be released.
