In Uzbekistan, the Lemon Industry is Being Supported

By the end of 2025, lemon-growing land in household farms and private plots will be fully surveyed, and the data will be entered into the "Online Mahalla" electronic platform.
A government decree, No. 198, titled "Additional Measures to Support the Lemon Industry in the Republic," has been adopted.
According to the decree, the following measures have been outlined:
Construction of compact greenhouses in households and leased land in regions specializing in lemon cultivation, with the option to sell them with a 3-year preferential period and installment payments up to 7 years;
Importation, installation, and provision of equipment for making lemon jam, jelly, and lemonade from foreign countries, with the option for entrepreneurs to lease the equipment;
Refinancing existing loans and interest debts to improve the activities of lemon farms under preferential conditions.
Additionally, one neighborhood in the districts of Norin, Shahrisabz, Uchko‘prik, and Denov will be specialized in the cultivation of lemon seedlings based on scientific approaches, and a goal to cultivate 1 million quality lemon seedlings in these districts will be implemented.
Moreover, a selection for targeted fundamental, practical, and innovative projects will be announced to develop lemon varieties resistant to cold and drought and to accelerate the multiplication of their seedlings.
