The Central Asian International Medical University in Fergana is known in the country as a major institution of higher education that trains qualified doctors. Here, education and knowledge are treated equally.

International cooperation in medicine is developing
By establishing direct cooperation with leading medical universities in Asia, Europe, and America, it makes a significant contribution to the improvement of modern treatment methods. A major scientific and practical conference was held in Fergana, at the Central Asian International Medical University itself. Nearly 2,000 scientific developments by scientists from universities and medical centers in more than 30 countries were presented.

"Our esteemed President recently met with medical professionals. He was tasked with digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence in medicine," says Nurillo Mamasodikov, Rector of the Central Asian International Medical University. "As part of that conference, we also organized a conference with our Turkish friends under the motto 'Followers of Ibn Sina.'" In line with medical reforms, the goal was to consolidate the expertise of adult and pediatric physicians and establish a medical faculty based on this expertise. Our international partners have positive experience in this area, and we agreed to utilize this experience effectively.

"Uzbekistan has achieved great success in training qualified medical specialists. This can be seen in the example of the international university in Fergana," says Yese Salihuğlu, Vice Rector of Nişantaşı University in Istanbul. "The most modern equipment and stimulating opportunities have been created for educational and practical classes. Furthermore, medical science is developing here. This is evidenced by the conference's reputation. This is precisely why Nişantaşı University in Istanbul chose the Central Asian International Medical University in Fergana as its closest partner."

Conference participants, having become familiar with the institution's training methods and conditions, as well as its research laboratories, decided to continue their collaboration. Particular attention was paid to education, research, and practice.

Istanbul Nisantasi University, home to Turkey's most renowned medical clinics, participated in a scientific and practical conference with the largest delegation. Today, university management representatives held talks with Nurillo Mamasodikov, Rector of the Central Asian International Medical University, and signed a mutually beneficial agreement. All provisions of the agreement will be implemented starting next academic year.

"We signed a mutually beneficial agreement with the International Medical University of Central Asia," says Emrah Ipek, a professor at Nisantasi University in Istanbul. "According to the agreement, students will now study at the university 3x3, meaning three years at Fergana University and three years at Istanbul Nisantasi University. Upon completion of their higher education, they will receive two equivalent international diplomas. One of these diplomas belongs to us, Turkey, and it entitles them to work worldwide. In the future, we intend to implement similar cooperation projects in medical science."

It's no coincidence that prestigious medical universities abroad are showing interest in their colleagues in Fergana. Because during the scientific and practical conference, a complex surgical conference—a masterful school of liver transplantation—was demonstrated.

"This is, of course, a historic day. The level of medical care worldwide is also determined by the level of liver transplant experience. It's gratifying that in the Fergana region, this operation is being performed jointly with the National Medical Center, the multidisciplinary hospital, and the Department of Surgery of the International Medical University of Central Asia. The patient is doing very well. During the conference, the results of this operation were discussed separately and received high praise. This is an achievement for each of us," says Nurillo Mamasodikov.

"Any practice is based on science and experience. That's why representatives of the Central Asian International Medical University are currently preparing for their trip to America."

"This year, the President visited the United States twice. As a result, vast opportunities have opened up for us. We have set ambitious goals. At the end of this month, we will travel to the United States and sign contracts with the world-renowned University of Pittsburgh to train highly qualified nurses. We are currently negotiating online on this matter." We will bring American medical experience to Fergana and work together on the basis of joint programs,” said the university rector.
