Iran denies involvement in US base attack in Jordan

The Islamic Republic of Iran's representative to the UN has told Iran's IRNA news agency that Iran is not linked to Sunday's drone attack on a US military base that killed three US military personnel and injured dozens.

Earlier, the US Central Command reported that three American servicemen were killed and 25 were injured in a drone attack on a US military base in northeastern Jordan. So far, 34 casualties are known, eight of whom required evacuation.
A Jordanian government official said the U.S. al-Tanf military base near the Jordanian border on the Syrian side was attacked.
"Iran had no connection and had nothing to do with the attack on the U.S. base," the unnamed Iranian official said.
