Israel wants to stop issuing visas to UN representatives

This is due to statements by Secretary-General António Guterres. Gilad Erdan, Israel's permanent representative to the UN, said it was time to teach the UN a lesson.
Israel's permanent representative to the UN, Gilad Erdan, said his country intends to deny visas to UN representatives following statements by Secretary General António Guterres, the Times of Israel reported.
Israel's Foreign Ministry had earlier called on Guterres to resign after he said the Hamas attack "did not arise from nothing." A ministry spokesman said the UN secretary-general was justifying terrorism in this way.
"Because of his remarks, we will deny visas to UN representatives. We are already denying visas to UN undersecretary-general for humanitarian affairs Martin Griffiths. It's time to teach them a lesson," Gilad Erdan said in a radio interview.
